Grandparents December 2017 Visit

Grandmaman and Grandpapa, my husband's parents, came for a visit in December. We all had a great time. Here are a few pictures from their visit.
There is a cul de sac near our house that goes all out with Christmas decorations. We took a walk through to see all the lights.
My parents went with us to the Bob Bullock Museum in downtown Austin.
We had a great time at the museum. The featured exhibit was about the prohibition period in America.
In the speakeasy room, there was a dance pattern on the floor so you could learn how to do the Charleston. Everybody took a turn trying to get the steps correct. My mom and Boogs worked on the dance together.
Samuel was happy to have both of his grandmothers with him.
 Poppa came too.

We had fun posing with the suffragette banners.
We left the prohibition exhibit and wandered through the rest of the museum.

Pong to Pokemon was Boogs' favorite exhibit.
We took turns playing all sorts of video games.

We tried to go on a couple of hikes. It was pretty chilly. We didn't make it very far on the hikes.
But it was fun to hang out together outside.

Boogs made memory books for Grandpapa and Grandmaman. He wrote about special times he remembered spending with them. I then looked through the thousands of pictures stored on my computer to match the memory with a picture. His words were so sweet. I wish I had a copy of them. He left some blank pages at the end so he could add future memories to the books.
Grandmaman and Grandpapa were thrilled with the books.
My parents joined us for Christmas dinner and games.
We played several games while GP and GM were here.
The challenges in the Game of Life got everybody up and moving and laughing. GP and GM were showing off their dance moves in this picture.
Daddy took everyone to the shooting range. Boogs battled both GP and GM on the dueling tree.
All the fun we had together, wore us out.

We had a great visit and are looking forward to spending time with them again during the Christmas holidays of  2018.
