Cutesy the Elf 2019 Days 16 - 24

This year with Cutesy the Elf is coming to a close. Cutesy has been hiding all over the house.

Day 16: Cutesy started a tic-tac-toe game on the mirror this morning and left a marker for Boogs to take a turn.
When Boogs returned home from school, he found out that Cutesy had unfairly won the game.
Day 17: Cutesy left an ornament maze with a note to a-maze-ing Boogs.

Day 18: Cutesy took out some of our favorite holiday books to read again.

Day 19: Boogs has a pet hedgehog named Nebraska. Cutesy showed up with a pair of socks with Nebraska's picture all over them. Cutesy sent in a picture ad ordered the socks from HERE.
Boogs wore them to a family wedding on Friday night.

Day 20: We woke up this morning to find Cutesy snuggled in a blanket I received as a gift from one of my students.

Day 21: Cutesy left a Santa hat and beard on the mirror so Boogs could see what he would look like as Santa.
Boogs looks like a grumpy Santa. I think it was too early for this silliness.
Day 22: We found Cutesy on top of the curtains in the playroom. He had a deck of magic trick cards in his pocket.

Day 23: Cutesy was hard to find this morning. He was hiding on the tree listening to Christmas music.

It will be a while before I post again. Here are the plans for the next two days.

Day 24: Cutesy will find some old comic books and use Silly Putty to lift the pictures from the pages.

Day 25: Cutesy will leave behind a goodbye message and book 5 in the series we have been reading together for the past few years.

Cutesy the Elf 2019 Days 11 - 15

Cutesy the Elf is surprising us in new and fun ways every day.

Day 11: Cutesy forgot to move during the night and tried to hurriedly get into his astronaut outfit before wake-up time. It was a sad effort, indeed.
Day 12: Cutesy made up for his sad effort the day before by going all out on a new balloon door decorations for Boogs. Cutesy recently learned that you can use a low temperature glue gun on balloons without popping them. He made a balloon wreath for Boogs' door.
 Boogs liked it.
Boogs even wore the wreath for a little while and it didn't pop or fall apart.
Last year's balloon decoration is still on the back of Boogs' bedroom door. Now, I'm not saying Boogs' is a hoarder but...
That mess on the back of his door was a Christmas Tree door decoration last year. It has definitely had a rough year.
Cutesy has a habit of making ballon door decorations. Our favorite is this one from two years ago. It looks like a string of giant Christmas tree lights.

Day 13: Boogs was not very thrilled when he saw the Algebra page Cutesy brought for him to solve. Cutesy found the page on mathcrush.com
 But, he finished it.
Day 14: Cutesy showed up with a can of Pringles with the Pringles Ring Challenge taped to the side of the can. Cutesy must have taken that picture and found the challenge idea at Sunflowers To STEM. We will have to check back in with Boogs after he completes the challenge.
Day 15: Cutesy surprised Boogs with a fun game that he found on the 50% off rack at World Market.
Both players wear soft velcro strip helmets and throw balls at each other to make them stick to the velcro. Boogs and I had a great time chasing each other around the house. It was a good laugh.
What have your elves been doing while visiting this year?

Cutesy the Elf is Back for 2019

Boogs is too old for Cutesy to keep visiting, but he really likes Cutesy's antics. To see how Cutesy first entered our home, click HERE.
So, here is what Cutesy has been up to for the first 10 days of December 2019.

Day 1: Cutesy placed notes around the house for Boogs to follow and find his arrival hiding spot. Boogs went to the playroom, front hall, back porch, laundry room, living room, and finally found Cutesy hiding in a kitchen cabinet with the cookbooks.

Day 2: Cutesy thought Boogs should have an elf outfit, too.
This picture is for future blackmail by Momma. Hee Hee!
Day 3: Cutesy wrapped up Boogs' stinky sneakers and left a can of Stink Stank Stunk spray for future use.
Day 4: Cutesy brought back the little tree he brings every year. There was a new handmade Santa ornament for the little tree.
Day 5: Cutesy made a shrinking machine so he could share elf sized cookies with Boogs.
Day 6: How rude! Cutesy brought a new book, Shakespeare's Insult Generator. Perfect book for a funny teen.
Day 7: Every year, Cutesy brings a gingerbread house for Boogs to decorate.

Day 8: Challenge time! Can you fit through a 4 inch by 6 inch notecard? Info HERE.
Boogs quickly let Cutesy know that he had done this challenge last year in his 7th grade Science class.

 Ta-Da! Easy peasy fit!

Day 9: Cutesy has used these same decorations for the past 9 years to decorate Boogs' bathroom.

Day 10: Cutesy left a note, "I mustache ask you a question. Can you solve these jokes?"
Well, we have 14 more days of Cutesy antics to go before Christmas! I can't wait to see what Cutesy does next. If you are curious about the past 172 days Cutesy has visited us, check out his Pinterest board HERE.

Let me know in the comments if you have any great elf ideas to share.
