Boogs was a little nervous about crossing the bridge on his bike, but he did it.
We played at the park for about an hour before heading home.
Most of our park time was spent playing chase. We played on the playscape - up & down the slides, across the wobbly blocks, across the monkey bars, up & down the climbing wall, etc. A little girl about 7-yrs-old came over and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was playing tag with my son. She said, "Oh. My mom is watching you. I asked if she would play with me like that and she said no. She said there must be something wrong with you because you are too active." That made me sad.
Boogs and I had a great time wearing ourselves out before heading home.
We even stopped at another park on the way home.
I am looking forward to many more family bike rides.

Oh, that is sad! I'm glad that you had a great time playing with your son, and that he had a fun on his bike and at the park x #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara. I love playing with my son. I know he will not want as he gets older.
DeleteI cannot wait to do some family bike rides - need to loose the pesky stabilisers first though
ReplyDeleteMy son has only been riding for a month. He received his first bike when he was 3 and NEVER rode it. He hated to pedal. We were very happy when he finally started riding a bike last month.
DeleteLove days like these, gorgeous weather too! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteThese kids of days sure to beat cold and rainy days.
DeleteWhat a sad reaction from that little girl's Mum, children like nothing better than for us parents to join in with them, until they reach teens, all parents are just embarrassing as I'm now discovering! Well done you and Boogs on a fun day out together. Thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteI want to enjoy him wanting to be seen with me for as long as possible.
DeleteLooks like a wonderful ride. Funny thinking my little boy (20 months) will be riding a bike one day too :) #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThey grow up so quickly. I sometimes miss him being little.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Gemma.
