We had to lift up the stump to find the hidden container. |
Boogs was so excited to see what was inside. |
The "treasure" |
Boogs chose a dream catcher necklace. We left behind Growing Beads. |
He had a good adventure. |

That is so awesome! I had no idea that geocaching worked like that :-) Hope your back is on the mend, and thanks for sharing at Happy Family Times!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Geocoaching but yet to give it a go. Please do link up on Country Kids too, it looks like a great adventure for children and much more fun than just going for a walk.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will hop on over to your blog and check it out.
DeleteThat looks a really great idea. Is the app just called geocaching?
ReplyDeleteYes, just google "Geocaching app iphone". There is also an "official" geocaching website: http://www.geocaching.com/
DeleteThank you for joining me on Country Kids too, a lovely outdoor post to share
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! We haven't tried geocaching yet. (I don't have a GPS.) We go letterboxing, though...which is much the same thing, except that the "treasure" found is a hand-carved stamp with which to stamp your personal "log book." :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun, too.
DeleteWe love Geocaching! I think we've found over 45 now. It's a fun way to get some exercise with the kids! Sorry about your back though!
ReplyDeleteThanks, my back is almost back to normal. I just lifted to heavy of a weight on my deadlifts last week and strained a muscle. We plan on doing more, but may wait until it gets cooler outside.
DeleteWe love geocaching and started bringing our son along when he wasn't even a week old. It is a great family activity that helps you discover places you wouldn't otherwise get to.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. We have already gone geocaching again.
DeleteOh, how fun!! That sounds like a wonderful outing. Thank you so much for sharing at Happy Family Times!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carrie.
DeleteThank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday, too!!!
ReplyDeleteWow this is great, what a brilliant activity to get outside. Will have to see if there are any near us.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to the Sunday showcase.
