Geocaching Wilco Park

Our Central Texas weather has been all over the place lately. We had a snow & ice day last Friday. On Sunday, my husband, son, and I went geocaching in light jackets that we ended up taking off. Then, three days later we had another snow & ice day. I thought I would share some pictures from our latest geocaching adventure on Sunday.

We searched for three geocaches and found two of them. We probably walked about 3.5 miles during our outing. My husband and I really think it is a lot of fun. Boogs likes it enough to want to go, but his patience runs out if he can't find what he is looking for quickly enough. I think it is a great way to get outdoors, enjoy the sunshine, and spend time as a family.

    1. We did one last Christmas near my in-laws house in Ottawa, Canada. My husband had to take a shovel and dig thru the snow the reach the geocache.

    1. It can be both fun and frustrating. I tell Boogs to go into each hunt expecting to at least have a nice walk even if we don't find anything.

    1. You do have to hype it up a bit as an adventure walk/hike, not just a treasure hunt.

    1. There are so many out there. Last year, we took a trackable tag from Texas to Ottawa, Canada. It is neat to go online and see where that trackable tag has traveled.
