We spent most of our indoor time playing board games.
Boogs has spent quite a bit of time playing with the neighborhood kids. They have been having fun on all of their new riding toys. Boogs really enjoys the motorized ones.
Boogs wondered where all the snow was. He is used to snow at Grandmaman's house in Canada.
Boogs had a great time prying ice off of the driveway.
Boogs kept breaking big chunks of ice on his forehead. He is a goofy little guy.
A friend from down the street came by to play and help with the ice removal job.
That would not be easy to drive on.
We should be back to wearing shorts on Sunday when our temperature gets back up to 75 degrees. Here's a link to a wonderful post of fun facts about Austin "Snow". It made laugh because it is so true. http://www.mystatesman.com/weblogs/all-ablog-austin/2014/jan/23/36-facts-about-austin-snow/
Just because I think this is so cute, here is a picture of Boogs during our last "Snow" storm.

Ha! That's not snow :) Back in the UK a couple of inches would bring the country to a standstill. Up here in Boston, half a foot leads to a delayed start at school, a foot to a snow day! It's the ridiculous cold that is getting to us now... Love the action shots on the trampoline! And, the thought of 75F is just wonderful - I am very jealous :) #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThe joys of living in Texas - Monday the high was in the 70s, Friday the low was 26F, and tomorrow we are supposed to have a high of 72F. A popular saying in Texas - If you don't like the weather, wait a bit and it will change.
DeleteTrampolines totally rock
ReplyDeleteThey do! And now I want one in my backyard. My husband said this was the first time he had ever been on a trampoline.
Deletehaha...his sign makes me laugh!! good that they got a snow day though!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we took that photo three years ago. Time is flying by so quickly.
DeleteSnow days are the best! #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteThey certainly can be fun.
DeleteWow what extremes of weather! I'm not surprised you had a snow day as the ice would have been impossible to drive on. I'm glad you had respite from your hay fever and had some family fun in Dallas. Thanks for linking up and sharing your photos with Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteFiona, thanks for stopping by. It was so nice to get outdoors without sneezing my head off.
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh, the UK grinds to a total standstill with an inch of snow too. That ice looks nasty though - wouldn't fancy an ice rink on the driveway #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely the ice that brings the city to a halt, not the teeny bit of snow.
DeleteWe had a snow day this week too up here in Long Island, NY. But we did have a foot of snow overnight. The Texas snow day reminds me of UK! But looks like you all had fun - and love your son's sign.
ReplyDeleteWe like to visit snow during the Christmas holidays when we see my husband's family. I am glad not to have to deal with it on a regular basis. I am definitely a Texas sunshine kind of person.
Deletethat seems unfair to make you all make up time! guess ice just not a common occurence..
ReplyDeleteWe have two "Bad Weather Make-Up" days built into our school calendar each year. We do not have to use them most school years.
DeleteLooks like loads of fun! I had no idea the weather could be so changeable there - must be interesting!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! We have had no snow this season at all and I'm wanting to blog about ice without having to resort to the homemade variety!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun prying the ice of the driveway must have been! I don't like to drive on it, but it looks like fun to play with.
ReplyDeleteThey spent quite a long time on the driveway ice. They finally gave up when there hands were so red and cold they could not hold the handles on their tools any longer.
DeleteLooks like great fun. It's lovely to get out when you have been cooped up for so long isn't it - even if it is freezing!
ReplyDeleteThe cold temps are a novelty in our area. When we had a snow day four days after this, Boogs was not all that interested in going out to play in it.
DeleteSounds like you have some crazy weather, snow day and then shorts!?! Looks like lots of fun was had breaking the ice up though :) #countrykids
ReplyDeleteTexas - the only place you can experience all four seasons in two days.
