Sweet Berry Farm Strawberry Picking

Grandmaman, I finally found my camera. I took Boogs and his cousin, Little J, to Sweet Berry Farm to pick strawberries during Spring Break. Unfortunately, the berries were pretty picked over by the time we went. The boys still had fun, they just did not have very many strawberries to bring home.

You know I can't have a strawberry picking post without a flashback picture. We have made it to Sweet Berry Farm every year to pick strawberries since Boogs was two-years-old.

They added a new thing this year, it was like a bouncy house in the middle of the field. Boogs and Little J LOVED it!

After all that bouncing, we had to have homemade strawberry popsicles before we left the farm.
We went from the farm to the library for a Mad Science show. Boogs went up on stage to take a ride on a "hover craft" made out of plywood, plastic sheeting, and a leaf blower.

This post has been linked up to Country Kids from Coombe Mills weekly linky party.

    1. Thanks! Because of the "overpicking" there weren't a lot of people there. The boys got the entire bouncy area to themselves.

    1. I hope Boogs continues to enjoy going. His cousin said this is probably the last year he wants to come with us.

    1. They certainly tried to find good berries. Most of the ones they got were okay.

  4. Sounds like a great day. I am looking forward to summer and fruit picking here. We have had such a cold spring that I'm sure Summer is suddenly going to pounce on me unaware! My boys would love that science experiment too. Thank you for sharing your fun over on Country Kids.

    1. Sweet Berry Farm is the place we go for strawberry picking in the spring and pumpkin picking in the fall. It is a tradition that we look forward to every year.

  10. What a fabulous day for strawberry picking! As I sit here on my sofa huddled in a fleece and slippers with my heating on 22, and the wind whistling outside in 2 degrees, the concept of strawberry picking in shorts and t-shirts seems a distant fantasy. Looks like a glorious day, love the bouncing pillow photographs.

    1. Sorry Spring has not reached you yet. It is lovely for us now, but the coming months of 38+ can get VERY long.
