Strawberry Picking At Sweet Berry Farm 2011

Last Thursday, Boogs and I continued our yearly tradition of driving to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls to pick strawberries. Boogs was very serious this year about getting the best strawberries. He had a list of things he wanted to make - pancakes, muffins, smoothies, ice cream. He got to eat homemade strawberry ice cream at the farm. We made the rest of the items on his list at home. Yummy!
The hour drive went by quickly

Family Walk

Recently, we spent an afternoon at Brushy Creek Lake Park and Trail. I love that Boogs still wants to hold hands with us during walks. He is such a cute little explorer.

Last Days in the Old House

Here are a few pics from the last few days before we moved out of the old house:
Painting in the garage.

Playing on back porch.

Playing in sprinklers.

Relaxing with Daddy.

Motorcycle built of blocks.

Orioles T-ball

So cute in his baggy uniform!
Ready to play.

Throwing the ball to 1st base.

Boogs has been having a good time playing baseball with his preschool friends. Boogs loves that his team's colors are orange and black, his favorite colors. The games are pretty funny. When a ball gets hit into the outfield, every single Orioles player runs after it. Then they all pile up on each other and fight over who gets to throw the ball. It is a good thing there is not score keeping in t-ball. Tomorrow will be his 6th game. It is going by so fast.

I'm Back!

Whew, it has been a long time. We closed on our house and moved into a third floor apartment. Our new house will not be ready until mid-June. I can't wait! Boogs has adjusted very well to moving. He has said that he is sad because, "the people that got our house gets to hug it all to themself. I wish I was still at my home sweet home." The first week in the apartment was the hardest because Boogs was used to going outside in the backyard whenever he wanted. He walked out the front door of our apartment when I was in the shower one morning. I heard the door and freaked out and yelled at him to get back inside and never open the apartment door without permission. Poor little guy. He told me he was just trying to find his yard. I am so glad he did not wander off.  Since then, we have not had any other incidents with him unlocking/opening the door.  Only 2 1/2 months until we move again.

Here are a few pictures of the progress of the new house:
Brick went up this week.

Shingles are on & trim is painted.

Sheetrock is complete, crown molding is up, walls are textured.

Sold sign

Boogs helped our realtor put on the "SOLD" sign. We won't close for 2 1/2 weeks. I will be keeping my fingers crossed until the actual day of signing.
