Boogs was beyond excited when he was able to go on his first big water slide. We went to a friend's birthday party and Boogs had to pass a swim test to slide. He loved the slide. He probably went down the slide 50 times.

Theater Room Curtains
The curtains for our theater room, I mean "my husband's theater room", were installed today. The room looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Our decorator had us wait downstairs while the curtains were installed so that she could do a big reveal.

Grandfather Tang's Story
I put Boogs' toy storage unit together and now I just need to get it organized. Boogs was helping me unpack some of his toys, when he came across a package of tangrams. It is funny how new his toys seem since they have been in storage for 7 months. He has definitely outgrown a few things. I want to start a "donate" pile, but I can't do that while he is around. Anyway... back to the tangrams. Boogs asked what they were and how they work. I remembered that I had a book with "Grandfather Tang's Story" in it. So I got it out and we read it together. In the story, the grandfather creates many different animals with the tangrams. Each page shows how to make the animal on that page. Boogs was fascinated with being able to make so many different animals with only 7 shapes.
After the story, we played with the tangrams and made up our own animals and objects. Boogs asked if he could make an animal and make it stay. So I cut the seven shapes out of paper for him. I told him we could glue the shapes on another piece of paper and write down what he had created. He played with the paper shapes, but decided he really needed to think about it before he made it "unchangeable" with glueing it down.

Dining room
One more picture of yesterday's progress. This is the almost finished dining room.
Boogs' playroom storage/cabinets came in yesterday afternoon. I know what I am going to be doing this weekend. I can't wait to put these together and then organize his toys. It is long overdue!

House Decorating Progress
Finally our house is starting to look livable. Our decorator came over today and helped hang drapes, hang pictures, and put accessories up. She brought the bedding for the master bedroom and guest room. Our living room couches are on backorder so we put the patio furniture in the living room to have a place to sit. We are still waiting for the bed posts and rails to come in for our bed and a few other things, but at least after today we feel like progress has been made. Here are a few pics of todays efforts, but first a reminder of a couple of weeks ago.

Enjoying Our Outdoor Living Space
Last weekend, in between seeing the movies Cars 2 and Winnie the Pooh, we spent a lot of time enjoying our new outdoor space. My husband and I finally got around to assembling the patio furniture. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside. We also sat in the shade and watched Dual Survivor on the outdoor t.v. while Boogs played with the furniture box. He made the box into a restaurant, Mt. Everest, a cave, and a "slanted party house." We can't wait for it to get a little cooler (we know we will be waiting a looooong time) so we can use the space more often.
