100th Day of School

Boogs has been looking forward to this day. He woke up this morning and yelled, "It's the 100th day of school!" He has had a rough week at school this week, and it is only Wednesday. I am very happy that he was excited to go to school today. Usually I wait until the end of the week to post his lunches, but here is today's lunch.
100th Day Worries by Margery Cuyler and Emily's First 100 Days of School by Rosemary Wells
These books were very different. The Cuyler story is about a girl who cannot figure out what 100 items to take to school for 100th day. Her family helps her out by each person giving her a group of 10 items. In the Wells book, Emily tells about a number associated with each day of school. Both stories end with "x x x" kisses. In the lunchbox: tomato basil tortilla note with 100 kisses, pb&j sandwich with 100th Day cut outs in cheese and fruit leather, yogurt with 100 sprinkles, strawberries with 100 seeds, salad, and salad dressing with 100 flakes of pepper. *all numbers are approximate* :-)

This lunch was chosen at Bento of the Week on Bento Blog Network.
